We also believe in helping introduce young people to rewarding careers in the construction and home improvement industries. Recently, our team participated in the WNC Construction Career Day, an event focused on exposing students to career opportunities within the skilled trades.
Events like these are an important way to help students discover career paths they may not have considered and learn more about the people and skills that go into building and improving homes and businesses throughout our region.
For the past several years, Flooring America WNC has also participated in the WNC Build and Remodel Expo. This local event brings homeowners and industry professionals together to explore ideas, products, and services for construction and remodeling projects.
We enjoy being part of this event because it gives us the opportunity to meet local homeowners, share flooring ideas, and connect with other professionals in the Hendersonville home improvement community.
Community involvement also means supporting local families when they need a helping hand. Our team regularly participates in charitable efforts such as Toys for Tots, helping bring holiday gifts to children and families in need.
We are also expanding our involvement with the Professional Women in Building group through the local home builders association. As part of that effort, Flooring America WNC is serving as a collection hub for a local diaper drive supporting Babies Need Bottoms.
Our diaper drive partnership with Professional Women in Building gives local community members another convenient way to make a difference. Donations collected at our Hendersonville showroom will benefit Babies Need Bottoms, a Western North Carolina diaper bank that works with community organizations to provide diapers and essential supplies to families experiencing diaper need.
Babies Need Bottoms has served families across WNC since 2017 and continues to work with community partners to provide essential diaper supplies.
By opening our showroom as a collection location, we hope to make it easier for our neighbors in Hendersonville and throughout the surrounding area to contribute. Community members can help by donating diapers and other accepted baby supplies during local collection drives.
